You are invited to the Big Beach Bonanza courtesy of Keep Britain Tidy RiverCare and BeachCare Project

One of the ways we are celebrating Volunteers' Week 2016 is at a Big Beach Event taking place at Shoebury East Beach from 10am to 12:30pm on Thursday 9th June 2016. It’s a great chance to get down on the beach, do something positive to improve the environment and find out more about our amazing local beaches. It's a lovely way to socialise as well.

It’s going to be a fantastic morning out with a range of activities to enjoy. Are you ready for the Big Seaweed Search or Great Eggcase Hunt or the invaluable Litter Survey?  Not only that but also take advantage of the chance to find out more through talks and demonstrations about the amazing wildlife on the Essex coastline.

It’s open to all volunteers, young and old, individuals, organisations and businesses. This is also a brilliant opportunity to get a group of your service users involved, perhaps to try volunteering for the first time!  If you care about the environment, love the great outdoors and want to make a difference, this is a great way to start. Put the date in your diary now, tell your friends, volunteers and colleagues then get in touch to find out how you can join us on the beach.

For more details and to find out how you or your organisation can get involved, call the Volunteer Centre, Southend on 01702 356000 or email vb@savs-southend.co.uk.

We look forward to seeing you there.
