On 11th May, 2017 at 1.30 pm Trust Links will be launching their drop in café which will take place every other Thursday afternoon (fortnightly) at Garons Cricket Pavillion, Garons Park, Eastern Avenue, Southend.
Whether you care for someone full time or part time (or may not even consider yourself to be a carer), we would like to meet you .
The Café is open to upaid carers of all ages regardless of the reasons for being a carer.
All unpaid carers in the Southend Area are welcome to come along to the drop in café for a chat and a cuppa. On the first day we will be asking you how you would like the café to be run, for example, whether you would like activities to take place or perhaps you would like a topical speaker to attend. The choice will be yours. The drop in sessions will be social events where carers can come along to have time to themselves and to meet other carers.
Garons Cricket Pavillion looks out over the cricket pitch and wildlife area which makes for a scenic and relaxing environment. There will be the opportunity for those who wish to
take leisurely walks around the grounds.
We will also be looking for volunteers to help run the café. This could be making the tea and coffee or phoning around attendees to remind them of the dates the café is open and to see if they will be attending.
If you would like to come along as a carer or become involved as a volunteer, then please get in touch, we would love to hear from you.
