We are currently updating our training prospectus for 2013/14, and are hoping to provide voluntary sector groups with a wealth of fantastic training opportunities!

In the meantime, our next training sessions are as follows:

Retaining Volunteers

Wednesday 19th June - 10am to 1pm

Retaining volunteers gives you a wealth of information about how to ensure your volunteers find their role fulfilling and stay loyal; their motivations for volunteering; induction and training; support and supervision; how to deal with unsuitable volunteers and much more.

Fundraising for Small Groups

Tuesday 18^th June 2013 – 10am to 4pm

Are you new to fundraising?  Would you like more advice about how to write fundraising bids, how to develop a fundraising strategy, and how to find funders?  This fun and informative session will teach you just that.

DIY PR for Charities

Friday 5^th July, 10am to 4pm

Positive media coverage can help you raise awareness of your cause while reaching thousands of prospective donors, service users and volunteers – what’s more, it’s usually entirely free.  Through a series of practical exercises based on real case studies, this one-day course provides a broad introduction to media-focused PR for charities and community groups.  You will learn how the media works, what makes a good story and how to create powerful press releases that maximise your chances of being noticed by journalists.  You will leave with lots of practical ideas for getting free publicity for your cause.
