BC in a Box

BC in a Box

Can Do is a fully-funded skills development programme for young people aged 10 to 35 years old with additional needs that offers social action projects aimed at building confidence and learning new skills. Due to the current lockdown restrictions, we have been delivering our Building Communities (BC) projects digitally.

For young people with additional needs who prefer to work alone or to work off-line, we have developed a free activity pack called ‘BC in a Box’ which is sent out in the post. The theme is ‘identity’ and there are 14 activities in the box, that should each take an hour to complete. Working on one activity per day will take 2 weeks to complete the box and participants can achieve a City & Guilds certificate. We will also be available to support young people digitally to complete their BC in a Box.

There are a limited number of activity packs available (100) for young people to take part in this pilot project. If you know a young person with additional needs who would like to take part, we will need their contact details so we can send the box out in the post. Please feel free to share this email with your contacts.
