Job Title: Carer Support Adviser Southend
Salary: £22,571 pro rata
Contract: Fixed Term contract till 31st March 2024
Hours: 15 hours per week – days flexible
Location: This is a hybrid role which involves community working in Southend and some home working.
Purpose of the role: Supporting and working collaboratively with carers as part of a team, to deliver an innovative and engaging service which meets the needs of carers across Southend
We have an exciting opportunity for a Carer Support Adviser to join our team in Southend.
As a Carer Support Adviser, you will be part of our Operational Team, helping to improve the lives of carers through your work. This role will include, managing conversations with carers to identify need; writing statutory carers assessments on behalf of Southend City Council; providing information, advice, and wellbeing support; running wellbeing groups and pro-active identification of carers through partnership working.
To be successful you will have experience of working with adults either in a 1:1 or group setting, a working knowledge of health and social care particularly in relation to adults, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A high standard of written skills is needed in order to help the carer identify their support needs and to complete statutory assessments.
