Communications Officer – Safe Steps

Safe Steps have an opportunity for a new team member to join our fantastic team as a Communications Officer; the successful applicant will have a background communications and excellent digital skills.  You will be responsible for developing and maintaining Safe Steps public presence and brand – this will include, but is not limited to, management of digital content, print media and merchandise.  You will work with operational staff on internal and external campaigns, raising awareness of domestic abuse and the services provided by Safe Steps.

The role will involve occasional evening and weekend working to support the community fundraising activities and events, working hours are flexible to support this.

This post is currently being delivered via remote working with occasional days spent in our Westcliff-on-Sea office.  A review of the permanent location of this post will be conducted post COVID and is likely to involve a blended working environment.

Salary: £22,500 (pro rata)
Hours: 10 hours per week
Annual leave: Commencing at 25 days per annum (pro rata)
Pension: Stakeholder Pension – NEST Scheme
