The Song School CIC

Here at The Song School we’re on a mission: to create communities for music making, accessible for everyone regardless of circumstances.

We are working towards breaking down the financial barriers associated with learning music outside of school and have partnered with local music charity Ewan’s Music Foundation to provide student bursaries, places on workshops and scholarships, to help cover tuition for children from low-income households.

We want to bring children & young people together from all circumstances to contribute to a more fair and understanding society.

Day to day, The Song School run extra-curricular music classes in disciplines such as Songwriting, Singing and Instrument coaching and holiday projects such as our Music Video Workshop. All our activities are based at our central Southend hub on Alexandra Street - the only space of its kind in the area.
