About the Organisation

Provide museum and library services for Southend.

Six libraries serve the city of Southend-on-Sea.

The Forum is open from:

8am - 7pm, Monday – Friday

8am – 5pm, on Saturday

Leigh, Westcliff, Kent Elms and Shoeburyness Libraries are open from:

9am - 5pm, Monday – Saturday

Southchurch Library is open from:

9am – 5pm, Monday – Tuesday & Thursday – Saturday

We encourage the continued use of face coverings whilst in the library.

Home Library Service

We offer a free service delivering library resources to customers in their homes when they may no longer be able to visit the library.

The Home Library Service can only reach a limited number of people at any one time. So we will seek to provide the service for those people who need it most.

This means that you may be asked to wait until there is a place available at your nearest library.
