South East Essex Epilepsy Support Group

S.E Essex Epilepsy Support Group is run by volunteers for the benefit of people with epilepsy; their families, friends and carers. We aim to help people understand about epilepsy and to campaign to improve the care paients receive. We support through social events where members can share their experiences and information in an informal setting. Our group draws on our own experiences to offer practical information to members on how to manage their condition and refer members to seek additional information from other epilepsy charities and organisations who have greater expertise in particular areas. We regularly publish a newsletter.

We are an independent support group dedicated to supporting individuals, families and carers in the South East Essex area, whose lives are affected by Epilepsy. Our members are drawn from the South East of Essex within an area covered by Castle Point, Basildon and Southend Unitary boundaries. We also have some members who reside outside these areas. The committee comprises of the Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, Social Secretary, Newsletter Editor and members who have been co-opted to carry out specific tasks. Our committee is always seeking new members so if you have ideas on how we can improve the quality of the lives of people affected by epilepsy we will be happy to hear from you
