Ferndale Baptist Church are a small, friendly, welcoming group of people who meet together on Sundays for prayer, worship and Bible-based teaching, and for social events during the week. Our services are informal but structured, including a range of songs from classical hymns to more modern songs. The ages in our congregation range from 7.5 months to 90-something. We have a fully operational hearing loop, and easy ramp access (including accessible toilet facilities). Our services are kept to an hour, with a 15-minute message/sermon, a couple of Bible readings, and structured time of prayer. We are open to the work of the Holy Spirit amongst us as we meet. When not under Lockdown conditions, we gather for tea and coffee in the Community Hall from 11.30-12midday. We are not currently able to do this.
Our social events (during usual, non-Lockdown times) include a monthly coffee morning (Tuesdays 10-12), a fortnightly WI session (Thursday afternoons), a fortnightly Gold Club (drinks and games, Friday afternoons), and occasional fund-raisers for our building project.
We have a monthly Sunday evening prayer time.
Our venue is also available for hire, so please get in touch.
