Education Worker Vacancy – Show Racism the Red Card

Show Racism the Red Card (SRtRC) is the UK’s leading anti-racism educational charity. The aim of the organisation is to combat racism through anti-racism education, whilst using football as an engagement tool and to positively campaign and promote the anti-racism message.

We are seeking to recruit an Education Worker to work across the South of England as part of the team working from our Office base in Southend on Sea.

Show Racism the Red Card will consider applications from individuals looking for a full-time, part-time or term-time position.

35 hours per week

NJC Pay Scale 5: Points 12 – 17: £22,183 – £24,491 (pro rata)

6% pension

The post primarily involves delivering programmes of anti-racism education to young people and adults throughout the South of England and occasionally the UK. The role may also include developing and delivering longer term education programmes for young people and adults with more extreme racist ideas and attitudes and contributing to the organisation of anti-racism educational events.

Travel is essential to this role with time normally split between the office and educational settings throughout the South of England. Therefore, a full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team

  • Excellent IT skills
