Freelance Project Co-ordinator – Safe

SAFE (Supporting Asperger Families in Essex), is seeking a committed, organised, efficient individual to provide co-ordination and deliver activities for this small but dynamic parent support group.

The Project Co-ordinator is an important role within this small and dynamic voluntary organisation. The Project Co-ordinator has responsibility for co-ordinating and delivering a range of SAFE’s activities for people with Asperger Syndrome (AS) such as various group activities for adults and young people across Essex in close partnership with SAFE’s Executive Committee. The role also involves working in partnership with other people and organisations across Essex in the delivery of projects and services for people with ASD.

Candidates must demonstrate strong organisational, communication and IT skills, be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. Knowledge about the issues surrounding Asperger Syndrome/ASD is desirable. The role includes working from home (facilitating groups via zoom) as well as travelling to groups as needed. Successful applicants will be required to have a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service check.
