Home Help Service New Price | Carers Choice

Home Help Service New Price | Carers Choice

We are now able to offer the service at £16.00 per hour. Click to download our new flyer for our Home Help Service.

Our service is available to any age group and also to Carers. The only criteria that the clients must have is that they have a need for assistance to remain independent to live at home.

We are able to accept referrals from all revenues and we aim to contact the client on the day of referral to make an appointment to go and do the home assessment, so that we can offer a quick turnaround for the client, in getting the much-needed help into them.

The service will be tailor-made to the client’s needs and we can offer assistance with Domestic Cleaning, Laundry, Ironing, Shopping, Accompanied Shopping, Accompanied to Appointments, Food Preparation & Sitting Service ( As long as no personal care assistance is required – if a client does require assistance with personal care we can refer them onto our Respite Team which provide a sitting service with assistance with personal care – this is at £20.20 per hour daytime rate )

All our Home Helps have had training in Food Preparation level 2, Infection Control & Covid19 Awareness Training, COSHH, Dementia Awareness, Health & Safety, Safeguarding and PPE Training. They are all DBS checked and insured. All our Home Helps Training is refreshed on a yearly basis so that they are up to date and will be made aware of any changes during the course of the year, and any new training opportunities that arise we will be encouraging our Home Helps to complete these as soon as they are available.

All our Home Helps are provided with Tabards, Disposable Gloves, Disposable Aprons, Rubber Gloves ( For Washing Up – Which will be left at the client’s property so no cross of contamination ),80% Alcohol Hand Gel, Disposable Masks and Face Shields.

Our Home Helps & Clients safety is paramount to us and we are monitoring this on a daily basis, with our Home Helps checking their temperatures before starting work that day, we would also ask clients to inform us of any Coughs, Colds and any other Covid19 symptoms.

During these uncertain times, we are asking clients to vacate the room if they are able to, so that the Home Help can clean the rooms thoroughly for the client in a safe manner, but if the client is not mobile and unable to move to another room, the Home Help would observe the 2 metre distancing at all times.

We are able to provide our Service across the county of Essex. We can provide a minimum of 1 hour per visit and the clients are invoiced on a monthly basis – which we encourage to be paid by direct debit, but we appreciate that this is not always possible and the client can pay by Debit Card over the telephone, or a cheque can be posted into our office in Benfleet. If a client is unable to pay via all the above, we would look into a solution to this and try to accommodate the client with any alternative means, so that we can provide a much-needed service to them. We provide the service on a weekly basis, but if a client does not require the service on a weekly basis, we can review this on an individual basis and if we are able to will accommodate the client’s needs.

The client will receive the same Home Help on the same day and time each week so that a repor & a level of trust can be built up between the client and their Home Help.

Our values are that we can provide trusted staff so carers and families have peace of mind knowing that their loved ones are being cared for by highly trained and knowledgeable staff. All our staff will be compassionate at all times and act in a way that respects the personal choices and dignity of individuals, taking responsibility for our actions and being clear in communications with others. We will work alongside carers, service users, colleagues and community partners, as appropriate, in shaping and delivering our services.

We treat people with respect, value diversity and are committed to equality & we are supportive in being responsive to the needs of individuals providing assistance as required but encouraging independence when the time is right. Our charity has been established for over 30 years providing services to carers and their families in the community.

If you require any further information or like to make a booking/referral, please do not hesitate to contact us on 0300 3021212.
