Homelessness & Modern Day Slavery

Essex Community of Practice: Homelessness & Modern Day Slavery – What you need to know!

Wednesday, 2 December 2020
14:30 – 16:30 Online

People experiencing homelessness are often the target for those who perpetrate the crime of Modern Day Slavery. This session will give you some very practical tips on how to spot the signs, reduce the risks and respond effectively when you come across victims of MDS. Dr Julia Tomas is the Anti-Slavery Coordinator for The Passage and a sector lead on MDS and Homelessness.

You are warmly invited to the 2nd Essex Community of Practice which will focus on Modern Day Slavery and Homelessness. For this session we will be joined by guest speaker Dr Julia Tomas, Anti-Slavery Coordinator from The Passage who will share with us her learning from supporting victims of MDS and working with homelessness services to prevent people from becoming victims.

Book you place here.
