Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust brings back Leigh in Pink for a fourth year

Local Leigh on Sea based charity Lady McAdden Breast Cancer Trust brings back Leigh in Pink for its 4th year running this October!

Breast Cancer affects 1 in 7 women.  42% of all Breast Cancer is found by women self-examining themselves.
Lady McAdden has a team of specialist Nurses that teach women how to self-examine and be breast aware.  We offer support, education and advice that could save their life.
Each year we help over 2500 women via face-to-face appointments, video calls or education sessions.

This October as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we are asking our local community to join us in raising Breast Cancer awareness.
We are holding a number of events to educate people on how to examine themselves and take control of their own breast health throughout the week of the 1st – 8th of October.
We will be asking retailers throughout Southend to turn their windows pink to help raise awareness and to give out leaflets so that women can know where we are if they would like to see a nurse or to receive our monthly reminders to check themselves.

If you would like to be involved or would like to book a training session for your company/charity/community group/service users to receive a Breast Awareness talk then please contact Elizabeth Smith on leigh@ladymcadden.org
