👋 Meet Roshan Romal, another of our Trustees whom we are showcasing this #TrusteesWeek! Joining us as one of our newest Trustees we are very grateful for Roshan’s time and are looking forward to his guidance as we enter 2023.
Roshan is presently working at BNP Paribas within the Bank’s commodity trading business where he has been for the past 11 years. His role as Global COO is somewhat nebulous and spans a wide range of business functions such as strategy, business development, operations, regulation and IT.
He sees a lot of positive similarities between Southend and his hometown of Auckland, New Zealand. However, he is acutely aware that the City has its problems. The more that he has been learning about SAVS and our function, the more he is understanding the important role that the community and voluntary sector play in helping address a variety of fundamental issues. Roshan is hoping that his background brings a complementary perspective to help support the wider group of SAVS Trustees and to ensure that the pivotal role of CVS continues to be sustainable and effective.
Outside of work, Roshan usually occupies his free time with his family, often involving the beach & outdoors, or watching almost any sport (especially if there is any kiwi connection) and considers himself a dab hand at cooking.
