Open Week at ‘Days at the Haven’ : 10th  – 15th October

Specialist Dementia Day Centre, ‘Days at the Haven’ will be opening their doors to welcome visitors for a whole week of tours and information for people looking for quality respite care in Southend.

From Monday 10th to Saturday 15th October, 11am – 3pm, visitors are welcome to tour the facilities at Days at the Haven, which is run by Age Concern Southend and based within the Haven Community Hub on Hamlet Court Road. There will be no need to book, staff will be on hand to show you round, talk about your specific needs provide assistance in finding you and your loved ones the respite care you need and deserve.

On Thursday 13th October, Southend’s Dementia Navigator Gill Clarke will also be in attendance between 11am and 2pm to provide further assistance including answering any funding queries.

Sarah Wilson, Supervisor for Days at the Haven said, “We provide a personalised service based on a varied activity programme designed to improve the health and wellbeing of our members. We provide this in a lovely warm and inviting room with private toilet and shower facilities onsite.”

“We hope that by having an open door policy for a full week, and by including a Saturday, we will be able to reach more people who have otherwise been unable to attend.”
