21 Jul Retreat by the Sea for Guests with Learning Disability and Their Carers
R.E.House Ltd has been operating in the Southend area for more than twenty-five years. During this time, its owner Carol Carr, has built up the reputation of being second to none in the provision of day care for adults with a learning disability.
Carol offers a spacious base in the centre of the town, where Service Users can enjoy the many activities offered each day, or from where they can set off on one of the exciting daily outings arranged both close to home and further afield.
The award-winning ATTIC is R.E.House Ltd’s training café and offers Service Users an opportunity to learn skills in hospitality or to visit as a familiar and friendly venue for lunch.
Carol was inspired to work in this sector many years ago and her ethos remains the same: Everyone, regardless of need, should have the opportunity to have fun and take part in amazing activities.
With this in mind Carol has developed Next Door But One (NDBO) which is located two buildings away from ATTIC.
NDBO is a perfectly situated retreat by the sea for guests who have a learning disability and their carers.
Carol’s vision is that people with a learning disability deserve to have a seaside break, but rather than staying in a clinical and characterless setting, Carol wants to offer them the chance to stay at her stunning seaside house.
Next Door But One offers parents and carers the opportunity for respite whilst knowing that their family member is having a wonderful break supported by their Personal Assistant in a luxurious setting.
You can book your stay directly through NDBO’s website or, for more regular visitors, we can issue an individual contract to meet your needs.
We urge you to take time to view our website and look forward to hearing from you very soon with any questions you may have or enquires about availability.
