ACCOUNTABILITIES: To assist the Registered Manager / Deputy Manager on a daily basis in the overall smooth running of the Society’s Registered Care Home

KEY ACTIVITIES: To assist Residents with their personal care requirements and help provide health supervision and attention through personal care plans. Assist the Registered Manager / Deputy Manager in ensuring that up-to-date Care Plans are formulated, implemented and reviewed for each Resident, paying particular attention to the use of the digital PASS system.

Participate in the provision of a programme of activities for Residents, designed to give stimulation and interest and enhance quality of life.

Be responsible and accountable for the accurate administration of prescribed medication to Residents.

Be responsible along with Management / Senior Care Team colleagues for the correct ordering of monthly medications.

Liaise with GP, District Nursing Teams and other professionals in relation to the care of the resident.

Lead the shift and support Care Team members to provide care and support to our residents.

Participate in the regular formal supervision of staff as required, liaising with the Registered Manager / Deputy Manager in relation to identified training needs.

Participate in staff meetings and staff developmental activities and undertake such training and refresher training as is deemed necessary for effective performance and delivery of service.

Ensure that property maintenance matters are reported through the appropriate channels to the Maintenance Manager or Handyman

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: £11.85 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Westcliff-on-Sea: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)


  • providing Senior care: 1 year (required)
  • supervisory: 1 year (preferred)


  • Driving Licence (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
