09 Nov SHIFT Expansion Launch event
The Specialist High Intensity Focus Team – or ‘SHIFT’- are expanding into Castle Point and Rochford. You may know the team who have been doing amazing work over the last year in Southend with people who intensely use emergency care services. Southend, Castle Point and Rochford CCGs, EPUT and Essex Police are now expanding the team and will be working across South East Essex to support some of our most vulnerable people.
As a partner in the work, we’d like you to join us for an online launch of the expansion which will take place on Friday 27th November from 10am – 12pm on Microsoft Teams.
SHIFT works collaboratively with partners to bring about better outcomes for the people they work with so we want to invite you along to meet the team, hear about the impact that SHIFT has made, our plans for the future and how you can take part in the work.
SHIFT delivers person centered and holistic 1:1 coaching to the people they support. The aim is to help individuals to re-engage with their community and focus on recovery and social inclusion; the approach is person-centred and ensures that the individual chooses the priorities that they wish to focus on.
People working with SHIFT have reported feeling much more supported and are now starting to explore activities that further advance their recovery journey such as volunteering, education and community groups. There have also been noted significant reductions in the use of emergency services for this group, which in turn frees up capacity for these services across the system.
If you’d like to join us, please email Georgina Beadon and an electronic diary invite will be sent on to you. We hope to see you there!”
