02 Nov Shoebury Common Crocus Maze – Shoebury Residents Association
We joined with the Southend Parks Team to arrange the Shoebury Common North Crocus Maze, which is the first time we have had a community event like this.
We started by printing the Maze outline on the grass and we arranged for a load of local children to turn up and help us plant around 2,500 Crocus bulbs. We were hoping to dig the holes first, but the kids were so eager they were trying to place bulbs in the holes before they were even made. It was a lovely afternoon, where the Mums, Dads and even local residents joined in to support this event. We are hoping to bring the kids back next spring to show them how their flowers have grown and what colours they have produced. Thanks to all concerned.
