21 Oct Singing for the Brain
Please find attached Your guide to Singing for the Brain from Alzheimer’s Society who are providing free training and materials to groups, organisations and individuals to create their own groups.
You may want to think about adapting the concept to help those you support. It doesn’t have to keep the trade name and can be flexed as needed. I really think this could be developed across mental and physical health and wellbeing services / offers.
This could help us close the gap and bring the two together across South East Essex, potentially developing something for all our communities to use, however suits them best.
Some initial thoughts:
· Opportunities to utilise the concept of ‘Singing for the Brain’ and adapt the offer to service / area specific need.
· Building Community Resilience.
· Widening to all ages and abilities and joining with physical health and wellbeing partners
· Help us to address the cognitive, physical and emotional impact of Covid
All the info is in the leaflet so you can contact them direct. But if anyone wants to join up or has ideas to share, I think that would be great too. Either way it would really helpful if we could know who was taking this offer up.
If training as groups in areas is something you would like to do, I can contact the organiser and we can have a South East Essex training session.
All up for discussion and a really useful opportunity. Please share with your contacts too.
