11 Apr Southend RNLI Inshore Boathouse Open Day
I am pleased to announce we will be having an Inshore Open Day, on Sunday 7th May 2023.
The Open Day will start at 12pm and close around 5pm. Operations dependent, we will do two exercises, one at 14:00 and another at 16:00 – this will ideally be the offshore vessels. Normal layout – push the boat and hovercraft out, bring a buggy down, and let people jump over it all! We hope to have a mini pop-up shop, information stands, water safety, and the education team also present, so we have something for every age group.
As always, we have a request for as many hands as possible on Sunday – we will need everything from the additional crew on hand to help get the boathouse ready, to willing volunteers chatting to members of the public, perhaps even a Stormy Stan!
