Support for Domestic Abuse Survivors with Young Children – Safe Steps

We are Safe Steps, a local charity supporting women, men, young people, and children to rebuild their lives after domestic abuse. Operating from the Dove Centre in Westcliff-on-Sea, we offer a range of community services throughout Southend and other areas of Essex. Recently, our Early Years IDVA (Independent Domestic Violence Advisors) team have been busy supporting survivors who have children aged 0-4 years. Working closely with A Better Start Southend (ABSS), the team have been visiting the various Southend Children’s Centres to offer advice and help where necessary. One of our experienced IDVAs will be at Cambridge Road Children’s Centre every Tuesday morning so pop in for a confidential chat.

If you or your children need our help and support in the meantime, please contact us: Southend 01702 302333 or Essex 0330 3337444. You can also follow us on social media: Twitter @EssexSafe, Instagram @safe_steps_southend and Facebook.
