Hamelin Trust is a registered charity supporting individuals with learning disabilities across south Essex.

Gowlands in Rochford is Hamelin Trust’s short break service for adults with learning and complex disabilities

Set in five spacious acres, the site (which is also home to our Hydrotherapy Pool and horticultural project, Roots and Shoots) provides a relaxed yet stimulating environment for our service users.

We require a full or part time support worker to join our amazing team providing high quality care and support to our guests at Gowlands.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with individuals with learning disabilities but we also welcome and provide full free training and support to those new to the care sector.  A caring nature and a commitment to enabling those with disabilities to reach their full potential is essential.

Working hours will be a mixture of early and late 7.5 hour shifts (between 7am and 10.00pm) and include alternate weekend working.  Rotas are published about a month in advance where possible to allow staff to plan for their free time!

A full driving licence would be an advantage – but not essential.

As part of the Hamelin Trust team, you will receive

  • £9.20 per hour plus 25% working enhancements for weekend and Bank Holiday working (equating to £11.50 per hour)
