12 Jan The Future of Social Care Services | Co-production
In Southend, we know that we are stronger together. We are looking for a diverse group of people to join us, to help shape the future of our social care services for adults and older adults. If you use services it’s important that we hear what matters to you and your family. Are you currently receiving care and support in Southend? For example you may have benefited from a stay in a supporting living service, have attended a day centre (or other community support) or used equipment or a support service within your home to help you manage every day. What do you want your life to look like if you need care and support?
We are looking to work with three different groups of people – older adults, adults and carers. Together we want to think about how we plan services over the next five years. Some things may be a priority in the near future and other things we can think about as longer term projects. We would love to hear from you if you would like to be part of these groups.
There will be one group session a week over five weeks. The Groups will take place virtually, over Zoom, for an hour. We really hope you will think about taking part. There will be support to help you make the most of the sessions.
We are unable to pay you for your time but you will:
- Have an opportunity to meet new people
- Hear other people’s views
- Learn new skills
- Do something different
- Shape future services for the people of Southend
- Contribute to your local community
- Support to take part
This is an exciting opportunity to take part in thinking about the future of Southend. If you would like to be part of the conversation please e-mail the contacts below:
