06 Apr Volunteer Reservist – Southend Hospital – Mid and South Essex ICB – NHS
Volunteers are currently required to assist hospitals across Mid and South Essex, especially in an emergency situations. The aim is to alleviate the work carried out by nurses, which can be undertaken by volunteers, for instance, a Ward Runner to take items between wards or other parts of the hospital. We ask that volunteers are able to commit to at least four hours of their time per month. They will be asked to agree to undertake training, be DBS checked, and provide photographic ID to protect vulnerable patients.
There are various roles available, across all days of the week, morning, afternoon and evening; volunteers need to provide details of the days and times of the week they are available.
