The Jazz Centre UK is a locally-based charity but proudly, the UK’s only national arts & cultural centre for jazz in all its forms

Based in the Beecroft Art Gallery in Southend-on-Sea Essex, we’re open again following a big re-fit and restructure and now we’re looking for new volunteers from all walks of life to help us grow.

You don’t have to be a jazz fan or expert (but sometimes it helps!) but if you’ve any of the skills or passions we’ve listed above or if you’ve that “special something” that can make a difference to or our charity, please get in touch…we’d love to hear from you!

We’re looking for volunteers aged 18+, from all parts of our diverse community and with hours or days to spare.

We’ll give you a solid grounding in the work of our exhibits, our archives, our live events and all aspects of our operations but we’ll do our best to make sure there’s a particular focus on what YOU are interested in to make your volunteering experience fun and rewarding.

The Jazz Centre UK opens to the public Wednesdays to Sundays 11am to 5pm but we do sometimes operate outside of these hours. On some occasions, we might also work off-site and remotely on elements of our projects and programmes and Trustee Meetings but most of our work takes place in the Centre.

To get the conversation going, please go to our volunteering web page www.thejazzcentreuk.co.uk/volunteer and register or better still, call in, we’ll show you around and let’s have a chat then
